Medico Astrology

In ancient sciences, especially in Vedic Sciences Jyotisha (Astrology) has been given a special importance! Usually we look at Jyotish to see our past – present or future events!!

Astrology has been based on the mathematical calculation with reference to movement of planets and stars, with mention of specific rules. So it can be accepted as a scientific discipline. Here at Ayurveda4You Research Foundation, we are trying to make use of this Jyotish in a bit different way.

Since “Jyotish” was contemporary branch of Vedic Sciences as that of Ayurveda, it is believed that there seems to have great linkage between these two master pieces of ancient Vedic sciences i.e., Ayurveda and Jyotisha.

Introduction

There are Nine Planets (as per ancient literature in Jyotish), which has got a capacity to rule over your life. They are as follows:

Sun (Surya)

Mercury (Budha)

Moon (Chandra)

Jupiter (Guru)

Mars (Mangal)

Venus (Shukra)

Saturn (Shani)

Rahu

Ketu

They occupy different places in our Natal chart (Janma Kundali). According to their specific location in natal chart, they decide several factors with reference to our life viz.

(a)

Our Nature

Swabhava and Prakruti

(b)

Behavior

(c)

Disorder

Roga/Vyadhi

(d)

Luck

(e)

Destiny and so on

By looking at ones natal chart one can predict several things with special reference to Ayurveda as well. Here, now we are trying to put a short introduction to such ares of co-relations. Ayurveda strongly believes that the entire universe is made up of or of Panchamahabhootas (i.e., five basic elements) namely:
  • Aakash (Space)
  • Prithvi (Earth)
  • Vayu (Air)
  • Jala (Water)
  • Agni (Fire)
A: Since Jyotish is a contemporary branch of Vedic Sciences, it also accepts the therapy of Panchamahabhootas. Therefore the Nine Planets about whom we have discussed before can also be co-related with there five basic elements and they are as follows:

No.
